Oryx Airport Hotel -Transit Only

I had a 20hr layover with my 8yr old. So this option was PERFECT for someone who didn't want to be exhausted and still have 13hrs of flight time ahead. The pool is gorgeous, the room super comfortable, the staff super nice and efficient. We ate at both the food courts, explored the rainforest as well 😀 A super airport for exploring.

Would I prefer to pay less? Sure! However, after a 16 hour flight and almost as many till the next one, it's so worth it. It also helps to adapt faster since you reach your destination more energised and refreshed. I also had time to enjoy the beautiful swimming pool in the evening and had it all to myself, too – don't know if it gets full at other times. There were coffee, tea, and biscuits in the room. The bed linen and mattress were awesome. The room was completely dark after I closed the shutters. It was completely quiet so I woke up well-rested. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made my stay even better. Totally recommend. I would advise to book about a month in advance as it tends to get more expensive closer to the date.

I recently stayed at Oryx at Qatar Airport during a layover with my children, and the experience exceeded my expectations in every way. The soundproofing was excellent, allowing us to relax without any disturbances from the bustling airport. What truly stood out was the level of service. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, offering assistance with everything we needed and even providing the exact time we needed to go for our flight and a wake up call . The complimentary refreshments, tea water and cofee were much appreciated and the wake up call was stress-free . Room temperature was perfect and easy to adjust plus the WiFi was fast and great for my work . The hotel’s location within the airport was a huge convenience, saving us the hassle of commuting. We also appreciated the excellent dining options available, which catered to a variety of tastes, including kid-friendly meals. Going for shopping was super close and convenient for last minute purchases. I would highly recommend Oryx to anyone traveling through Qatar, especially families with children. Located right in the heart of the main terminal at Doha, the rooms overlook the LV Teddy Bear and the hustle and bustle of one of the world’s busiest airports. The rooms are spacious, modern and extremely clean, with good airconditioning, lovely bed linen and blockout curtains. The hotel also has a pool (heated) and jacuzzis (gender separated) inside the large change rooms. I believe there is also a gym and a golf simulator. These facilities are free for hotel guests which was perfect! We had a 13 hour connection overnight, so we booked this hotel in advance and we were so glad we did. The beds were comfortable, the rooms extremely quiet and the staff really lovely and helpful, and efficient. Highly recommend this hotel if you need a place to stay in the Doha airport and you have a long connection.
